How come words for marijauna all have to do with cooking ?

like how weeds called pot, and how when you smoke your baked, fried or burnt.

why is it all named after cooking ? or is there no reason?

thannks.(:How come words for marijauna all have to do with cooking ?
Because when you smoke marijuana you are essentially frying your brain cells (losing thousands of them) so that is most likely why it is called that.How come words for marijauna all have to do with cooking ?
Are you high?
I'm afraid all the slang terms you are using are strictly American terms. Given that everyone things Americans are fat - you can now see why, can't you? Always about the food.

Over here in the UK, we call weed; bud, booda, dro, peng.

When you smoke it, you call it getting; high, buzzing, f*cked, mully, charged.

So as you can see our slang terms have NOTHING to do with food.

In fact, ours are more accurate. Bud = as in the bud of the plant, which is what you smoke.

Booda = a Jamacian word for weed.

Dro = as in hyDROchronically enhanced weed(skunk).

Peng = well, that's a cultural word used to describe goregeous women. But can be translated to weed 'cause weed's better than women :D.

As for when you smoke;

High = because you feel high

Buzzing = because you aquire a buzz when you smoke

F*cked = 'cause smoke enough, and you are xD

Mully/Charged = again, cultural terms.
