Be honest, am i selfish?

Me and my partner are having serious money problems this month, we'v even had to borrow money off family just for food. Anyway it was my 21st birthday yesturday and i got no prezzis and we had no money to go out and do anything so it was like a normal day, i cleaned, played with my baby, cooked us a meal and went to bed.

Iv got to admit i was gutted. When i tried to tell my boyfriend how i felt he just said ';oh boo hoo you didnt get hundreds of pounds spent on you'; but its not that, i just feel like it wasnt even my birthday. He said i was only thinking of myself and that i was selfish

He spent 拢90 on weed this month but yet we have no food in and i had no prezzis. On my ';big'; 21st.

Am i just selfishBe honest, am i selfish?
selfish..not really, cos u have not demanded much....my advice is learn to adapt to the present situation...u should have told him that we dont have money to eat, then why spend so much on weed???....if u r going to say that why r u spending so much on weed, instead u could have bought me a present...then he will newer realize his mistake....dont worry dear...u will have the best of the birthday celebration next year...u just see....Be honest, am i selfish?
No, you're not selfish and he should be more understanding of how you feel. Celebrating your birthday doesn't always necessarily mean that you have to have materialistic items spent on you. There are other ways to celebrate other than receiving gifts from others if there is no money to be spent.
yes u are being selfish
No you're not. He's an a*ss.

Happy Birthday, sweetie. :-)
I think its selfish of him. To spend 90 pounds on his addiction and not think to even spend time with you. 90 pounds is $180 and thats a lot of money, in America at least. He could of have done something more productive with that money. He is the selfish one.

p.s. Happy Birthday hunnie!
No. Your partner sounds like a loser, and all you were asking for was a little recognition. I'm sure even a ';Happy Birthday'; would've been sufficient. It's your partner who's being selfish, spending money on weed for himself, when he could be contributing to the family lifestyle.
No, he is being selfish, spending money on weed when he could have bought groceries. I think you were feeling sad that you got no real recognition for your birthday. Everyone wants to feel they are special on their birthday..he didn't exactly make you feel special. It doesn't have to be about money, just someone treating you like you matter. By the way...HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YA!!!!!!!!
no!

your not at all believe me

your birthday is supposed to be specieal !!!

he should have saved the money for a present for you instead of on wead

he sound like an ***` hole
no you're not selfish

but i think you have other problems

...the main one is your self-centered partner who rather spends money on weed than food and a brithday present for you

...and he just blamed it all on you

i don't think you wanted hundreds of punds ...just a little attenton and maybe a simple present

i'm sorry if i sound cruel ...but that's the way it is
